        Record Archiving Activities for Future Generations

        “Share activities to record and archive cultural heritage, memory and communities that are worth preserving for future generations, and support the archiving community.”

        What does “record archiving for future generations” mean?
        It means valuable records of everyday life worth being preserved for posterity, such as culture, nature and communities, let alone simple documentary records.

        1. Webzine

        • Summary : Future generation recorders (one from Cheongju and one from outside of Cheogju) are selected each month and their recording activities are presented.
        • Selection criteria : popularity, public interest, specialty, continuity, diversity
        • Announcement : on the Cultural City website and blog, individually emailed
        • Announcement date : First Wednesday of each month

        2. National Contest for Future-Generation Records

        • Target : groups or communities that are interested in records and archives
        • Agenda : Support archiving activities for meaningful and valuable archive records of different regions that are worth being preserved for posterity
